Successfully Leading & Managing High Performance Teams

The ability to ‘Lead and Manage’ high-performance teams is a vital skill for top and senior management of any successful organization. Even the best plans and strategies can fail if the team required to drive them is not well-developed and motivated. Developing and leading a high-performance team takes time, effort and a good understanding of how effective teams work. This course will help team leaders and team members to understand how to create and be part of a cohesive unit aligned to achieving results.

Senior Executives need to improve their team leadership abilities in order to be effective managers and drive the performance of the staff. Although teams have become common in the workplace, there is much confusion about when, how and why to use them. In far too many organizations, creating teams has become the goal rather than one strategy to help organizations improve performance. Consequently, teams will need leaders who understand the role of value in the new workplace, who know how to create and use power differently, who have contemporary means as well as the authority to use modern reward and recognition techniques, and who know how to focus on different constituents in new ways. This course provides a unique opportunity to develop core competencies in such people skills as improving self-understanding, assessing the effectiveness of others, team building, leadership, motivation, and conflict resolution. Participants will gain practical understanding of how to assess and sustain effective team performance as well as how to identify and resolve key resource issues. This training covers the key elements of leadership and management with specific regard to team performance.
